Tell me about 7 string Jacksons.....

I have a DR7 I bought a little over a year ago off of eeek-bay,IT ROCKS! But to be fair,the cat I got it from "upgraded" the tuners and bridge to Gototh locking,and installed custom overwound Seymore's,and even replaced to pots with Gibson factory parts(why?).
Since I've gotten this guitar,my others rarely even get dusted off. My band plays songs in standard,e-flat,drop d,drop c,and i use ONE guitar!
Soooo,I'm looking for another,(back-up),the budget can't support a COW at this time,and i've seen RR styles and i think a Kelly on eek-bay before.
What do they lack? Are the RR's neck heavy? How rare are these? Since i decided to get another,nothing on eek-bay,but DR7'S.
I never played a Kelly body style,and really don't like the way my RR feels,(always been a Dinky guy),in you're opinion should i stick with another DR?
Since Mine is so heavily modified,will I be hugely disappointed with a stock DR?
Any Info would be great.
