Out with the Kent Armstrong's, in with the Seymour Duncan's
Those Kent Armstrong Hot Rails in the bridge/middle are weak as fuck. I'm having the pup ring holes redrilled, and having a real humbucker installed in the bridge position where the 2 KA's currently sit. My WR1's came with Seymour Duncan Invaders and are made with alder body wings. The Warrior Pro has poplar wings, and the neck actually sits higher from the body than on the WR1. Should the wood type and neck height affect my choice of pickups? I've ordered an Invader (bridge) and a Hot Rails (neck).
