I have had an older kvx10 with the tom bridge and it was a great guitar. In my opinion I don't see a need to change out the duncan designed pickups. Both guitars are Made in Japan so you are getting the same quality. The newer RR3 have better pickups though.
You can't go wrong with either guitar just get what fits your budget.
