If I had 20 grand, I would buy a smokin apple made for recording, Logic, good mic pre's, a couple good mics, the new JBL LSR series monitors, a good interface or control surface, and take the rest of the money and fix the acoustics in my room. If there's anything left after that, i'd buy a Gibson jumbo acoustic.
