Pinch harmonics are cool but it's real tempting to overuse them like Zakk does. I have recently learned to "pinch" chords by palm-muting them but lifting off right as I rake the chord. The position of your hand has to be in a harmonic position to do it so it's not exactly a pinch, but it sounds pretty similar but you can do it to chords instead of single notes. If you get the sweet pinch sound out oif the chord and then wiggle it with your vibrato bar, it's really a cool effect.

It's really easier to do than to describe. Just hunt for the sweet spot with your picking hand's palm, pick the chord (works best with 3-note chords on thinner strings) kind of digging into the strings and palming for just an instant as you pick, then letting off, much like when you pinch a single note.
