I grew up in the metal and hair-band days of the 80's...that's where my heart is along with classic rock...I remember watching MTV from its very beginning and saw all the great guitar players and guitars out of California...wishing, hoping, lusting....sometimes it happened, sometimes not for me.
Anywho...I always dug the BC Rich's of Tony McAlpine and others...but being stuck in nowhere-ville Maine, there was little chance of getting one when they were happenin.
I picked this up pretty recently...it's a 85/86ish BC Rich USA ST-III....it has a refin that was done to it and new pickups/wiring to boot. The wiring is very high quality..whoever done it knows what they're doing...it's very versatile and sounds great in all positions.
The pickups are all DiMarzio...it has a Super Distortion in the bridge, and 2 Virtual Blues in the middle and neck position.
I got this for a supid low price with a hardshell...very happy with it..glad I have it....if I ever go back out to the clubs, this will definitely be my Number 1...I don't feel safe bringing out vintage Charvel's, Gibson's, and Fender's out of the house...especially around here....
Here's some pics of the ST-III: (Photos done by Brian
