You think you've seen ridiculous!!?

This is basically a spin-off of the "why bannings" thread. Since there's a lot of questions about why sites ban people, how about a twist and we talk about what fucks up a good site...

I've been on the net for a long time and have been in net biz for many years. Forums are nothing new by any means and I've seen many come and go over the years. I dropped out of the whole forum thing for a long time. Mainly because of cliques, flame wars and just general silly ass bullshit from the members... So I refused to ever get involved with them again. Any of them - adult, music, general, whatever I just stayed away.

But a could of years ago I started visiting a music forum and that turned into visting others and so on. The first forum I started hanging out on was ok, but I got turned off of it because the owner was a huge fan of a certain basketball team, a fanatic! He went off on a few people for bad mouthing his team and threatened to ban people for doing... So I left. I wasn't one of the people, but I hate fanatics like that...

I could go on and on, but the point I'm trying to make is, it doesn't seem to be the members causing the problems anymore, it's the fucking owners and the people they pick to police their fourms. For the most part anyway.

On one site I do frequent it's the most ridiculous clusterfuck I've ever seen and it's all 100% the admins and moderators. It's actually a good site for info and some of the people are pretty cool, but it's hard to stomach trying to read the threads. Those admins/mods are so into their own little world it's sickening. Seeing some of the shit they pull pisses me off so bad I have to close the browser and walk away from the computer for a little. It's just fucking stupid!

Here's what they do, in a nutshell. One asshole will edit peoples posts. If you use the word "ass", he'll edit it with "butt" OR if you say things he just doesn't agree with he'll edit it to where it does. Shit like that.

Instead of deleting threads that go against the rules, politics or something, they'll close it and usually add some smartass last word on it. If someone posts a thread about something that's already in another thread, they'll just lock it instead of removing it. So basically there's locked threads all over the site.

What really grabs me by the short hairs is when a perfectly good thread gets locked because they don't like a post or 2. Instead of just removing the offending posts they kill the whole thing where no one can reply and most of the time I don't even see anything wrong with them.

I went there yesterday and now it appears they are moving threads to nowhere and deleting the contents of the post then locking it! Dumb fucks! All of them!

One of them laid down the rules telling everyone how to get banned. Why? Because people who were previously banned joined under a new name so they had to tell everyone else off because they aren't smart enough to figure out the fucking software to prevent people from doing that! Then on top of that after the first dipshit posts his rules, the others had to add their 2 cents to it.

That is hands down the most ridiculous site I've seen in a good long time!!
