I needed some new cloths and shoes so I go shopping.
Just as I walk into the main mall area, heading for the leather store, these young kids come up to me. A boy and a girl. The boy was about 10 I guess and the little girl about 12 or 13.
They come up with smiles and say, "can we please ask you something?" I say, sure what's up? They go into this speech of, do you know whats beyond...? I really didn't understand at first I thought they were just playing around playing a joke or something, but they got real serious about asking me about death and if I know what happens and where I'm going when I die.
I said, don't you think you're a Little young to be worrying about death? He said, "no, well yeah I am but I know I'm going to heaven when I die."
At this point I realize what's going on. The church groups were out in full force today. Anyway, I said, you kids are way to young for this morbidity and quite frankly it is highly inappropriate to stop people you don't know in a hot crowded mall to push your religious beliefs on them. There's a time and place for this and here isn't it...
They apologized and walked off. I wasn't mean about it, but they were young children and IMO have no business approaching strangers with stuff like that.
I'm a religious type, that is to say I have my beliefs, but I also think religion is a personal thing and something that should be kept private.
Oh, and to top that off I have to walk tot he other end of the mall only to find the store I wanted to go was shutdown!
