Online Stupidity, Ignorance and Arrogance
I run a subscription based web site and deal with many stupid people on a daily basis. Most of them, however, are polite and I have no problem providing assistance in a polite and courteous manner.
Today I received a support email that reads as follows:
"I paid, then can't log on, what a rip off, YOU WILL BE REPORTED YOU BASTERDS."
Now, I would normally just shrug this stuff off and provide the clueless soul with his log in information along with step by step instructions. Today for one reason or another it just got under my skin and I gave him the following response:
Dear Sir,
Your password worked properly (before we cancelled your subscription).
Most people have the common sense to understand that the username/password combinations are case sensitive and have no problem entering the members' area.
Those who are a little slow simply send a polite note asking for assistance which we provide to them promptly. You, on the other hand, have chosen to hurl insults and use profanity with us due to your own stupidity (I paid, then can't log on, what a rip off, YOU WILL BE REPORTED YOU BASTERDS.) which has resulted in the cancellation of your account. The original transaction has also been voided so you will not be charged at all. Had you chosen to be civil and send a simple inquiry, you would have received the following response:

In the future, you may want to consider behaving more polite. Just because we run an online business does not mean that we have to put up with your ignorance. You may also want to consider using a spell checker - you spelled BASTARDS incorrectly.
