[ABSOLUT CHARVEL]

Family is nice and everything, but i wish they lived out of state. The wife has like 3 sisters and a brother and we are all in the same area. So get togethers are a pain sometimes. Way to many birthdays, graduations, etc...

My wifes parents are having their 50th wedding anniv. party on the 19th, which happens to be the same day our kid starts college. The wife asked he sister if she could have the party on Sunday the 20th because we want to be their for my kids move in day. The sister who is having the party said she is hosting a Seahawk party that sunday so she cant do it. It is a big deal for me and my daughter, so I told the wife we ARE going to take our girl to college and to tell her Mom & Dad we will take them to dinner at another time.

All hell broke lose! The sister in law told the wife the really is not much to do there (at the college) when you move them in, so to just drop her off and show up.... I said I don't give a fuck what she thinks we should do, we are going to spend the day there with her.

My mother in law said we should enjoy the moment with the kid, and not to worry about not making the party. She gets it and has no issue. She also said the sister in law who is having the party spent 3 days over at Gonzaga when their son started there!!!! WTF!

Anyways, the wife and sister in law are in a email war and the others seem to be chiming in ... The wife is a wreck now, but I told her our family comes first ... bottom line. Man family sucks at times!
