Default Re-discovering old bands

Has anyone here had the experience of "re-discovering" a band that you were once a big fan of but had fallen by the wayside over the years?

This has happened to me a couple times. The first was Aerosmith, who I had been a huge fan of from around '75 until '80 or so, when I lost interest. In '87 when Permanent Vacation was released, I liked it and went back into their early releases and re-discovered them again.

This time it was Iron Maiden. I was a big fan from around '79 until '85, but lost interest around the Somewhere in Time album. I saw Number of the Beast featured on VH1 Classic's Classic Albums, and that reignited the fire again and I have been kicking myself for letting my interest in them wither on the vine.

Bad thing is, it has refueled my GAS for an Adrian Smith Jackson!
