reverse jackson style firebird
handmade alder reverse firebird body with a 1/4" spalted maple cap. body was originally going to have a string thru setup, but the holes did not come out straight. i filled them and put a stop bar over it, so you can't see the fill unless you look under the stop bar. you CAN see the fill when you look on the back of the guitar in the right light. again, one of my first paint jobs. black is automotive urethane with urethane clear all over. there are some areas where the clear didn't fill what appeared to be little pits in the wood, and i didn't grain fill it first; i didn't think i needed to as you don't normally have to do that with maple. apparently you do with spalted maple. neck is us made and came from easton (before he had the store), 1 11/16 nut width, fretboard is rosewood, frets are massive and have plenty of life in them. there is a chip in the headstock on the side of the point. bridge pickup is a duncan custom from the early to mid 80s, neck is duncan jazz. tuners are satin gold sperzels. guitar is very resonant with a hell of a lot of sustain. i have plenty of construction progress pictures that i can provide to whomever buys it.
I'll sell the Blackheart as well for $350.00 shipped, It's a little EL84 tone monster, put a pedal in front of it and step back.
