I am the one any only owner of this 85’ Custom Order Candy Apple maple board Baretta custom order # 12767. I ordered this from Kramer through Melody Music in Denver in the summer of 1985 and took possession on 11/18/85. It was never even hung on the wall at the music store.
Years ago I had an active Seymour Duncan installed and the music shop where I had the work done had to replace the input jack to a stereo jack to accommodate the new 18 volt pickup. I do not have the original jack. The original Seymour JB Zebra was reinstalled about 3 years ago. Also had the volume pot changed to a push/pull coil tapping pot. Other than these 2 modifications, she is original.
The condition of this guitar is easily a 9.5/10. I have babied this guitar for 22 years and it shows. You can see some slight rivet rash on the back but I purposely took the picture this way so it would show up. There is one very small dimple from a cord tip that is on the face but you have to really look hard for it. The Floyd works fine, some wear on the fine tuning screws but there is no pitting at all. The neck is a non-scarf R2 neck and is in excellent condition, so no issues with bad glue.
This neck has NEVER been removed from this guitar. I would love to know what is stamped on it but have never had a good reason to remove it other than curiosity. The headstock is in excellent condition as you can see in the pics. The body is Poplar so it wont break your back. The frets are in great condition. The back of the headstock was signed by George Lynch about a year ago.
It comes with the original case and its in great condition and still smells new inside. The inspection tags and warranty card will be included. The tremolo bar will be included also. I do not have the allen wrenches or truss rod wrench. I do have the tremolo cover, just removed it for pictures.
This guitar plays like a dream and has spent every non-playing hour of its life in its case.
