Default Installing new tuners

That MIM Squier I just got kicks ass. One piece maple neck. It's a definite fav. But it had cheesy tuners. No problemo. I had a new set of RI Fender '70's tuners. Easy replacement. Ya, Right. It took a hour to pound out the old ferrels. These did not just "Pop" out with a few taps. Then I had to redrill the tuner holes. Did the new ferrels "Pop" right in. No. Then I had to drill 12 little holes to secure the tuners. All I can say is Fender makes really tough necks. I had about 300 chances to crack the headstock. It's all done and I didn't break anything but my balls. Try drilling being blind in one eye.
