I bought a BBE Sonic Maximizer several years ago and never used it. Never even plugged it in! I have been meaning to, but never got around to it.
After I went back to using my amp, I had been playing my GT-6 direct through the PA, I was having a little trouble getting "MY" sound. I tried everything I had and nothing was really doing for me except my GT-6, but I was running it though the FX loop bypassing the tube preamp of the Marshall. It sounded good, but not HELL YEAH!
I finally played with and got a killer sound, but still not quite HELL YEAH!. So tonight I got off my lazy ass and ran through the BBE.
HELL YEAH!!
Any of you guys ever buy gear and never actually use it, then find treasure in it much later on?
I use the BBE plugin and it's great, but I'm kicking myself for not trying this earlier, like when I first bought it! If you like your tone try one of these things and you'll probably love it.
