Where do I start?
About 90% of the hype is...well, hype.
Their use of the "lay down transformer to reduce interation between the PT and the output tranformer"...bleh. This is why we commonly place the PT "inline" with the OT, and grounded way down the signal chain..
And the biasing arrangement isn't all that great. You still want to have matched output tubes for maximum potential. Otherwise, one will be biased too hot, or too cold.
I like the external bias check. I plan on building it in my future amp projects, when I go to a fixed bias arrangement. I'm still using cathode biasing. It has more mojo.
You can generally tell where the most hype is just be following the CAPS LOCKED details.
We'll see where the price ends up.
