Its a really great sounding amp the loose setting give a Marshall like sizzle.With the gain at 5 thats what you get on both crunch and ultra channel.
There is a gain boost button for those two channels if you need a little more.
The jackson 4X12 cab has a thick sound anyway but it goes well with this head.It can push a lot of air thats for sure.Actually knocked the picture off the wall in the living room and I was in my computer room with the amp on the other side of the room.
