It's solid-state. Anyway, I bought a Squier about 4 years ago with this amp included. I paid around $150. Mid-90's. The knobs go to 12. It has been gathering dust all these years. Damn, the foreign ones can fetch $100+. I was shocked when I saw that mine was made in the USA.
