Some 30 watt amps don't get loud enuf for me, but they have great sound- which is different in my way of thinking then 'pure tone,' which can be had useing even a little low volume practice amp, though you aint gonna get alot of sound pressure level.
I'll take a 100 Marshall 1/2 stack for the sound, tone and volume I need.
For pure tone, the Bassman 4x10 clone is the best thing ive got right now.
At the other end of the scale, Ive got a Kustom 160 watt 6x6l6's wityh a 15" SRO speaker that has more sound than tone, but is a hard hitting amp that is alot of fun to play.
