That will change over time. Back in the day I never even used a clean channel
But now as my musical tastes have grown towards liking more styles of music the diversity in an amp is nice. Especially one that can deliver them well
What's nice about the 4 channels in theh diversity with the different modes. SO for each channel there ae three modes green orange and red so its really like 12 channels with 4 independant circuits.
Great thing is, within the modes of a particular channel you can have different EQ settings as they are remembered by the amp while changing through them. Not only that each channel or mode can use on of TWO master volume knobs.....sweet feature....allows for tweaking so you can have all the gain you want and still be at the same volume as the previous channel you would switch from....best marshall ever made IMO
