Hi all
There was some talk in another thread that it would be interesting for some people to learn more about building guitar amps.
Since i am right now in the progress of building a 2203 (besides a SLO) i thought it could be a nice addition to document a little about how i am building the amp so that anybody can learn a bit about it or "just" have an (hopefully) interesting read.
At the beginning i just want to make sure that i cannot say how frequently i can work on this build. Some of my builds take many months, some are quite faster. So don't expect too much of regular and fast updates. At the end of this month i will move out, also i need to get my band back together as our drummer had a very severe traffic accident which nearly killed him back in march and since then the band is on total hold. So i am not sure how much i can work on this amp build. Maybe it goes faster than anticipated, maybe not, we will see.
Before i really start, here are two disclamers which are very necessary:

I am sure you read about this somewhere if you ever searched for informations about tube amp building. That's also why this has to be stated here:
Tube amps operate at very high voltages which ultimately can kill and/or severely wound you. They are definitely not for electronic beginners. If you want to start building electronic stuff, look at small 9V based guitar effects, definitely not tube amps. Also if you think you are ready to dive into tubes, make sure you know all the basic safety rules for working with high voltages. There are tons of links and information out there. Look for it, read it and make sure you understand it. Better do your homework. It definitely is worth it and actually a absolute must !

This is also necessary:
I am not responsible for any damages on material and/or persons or other things. If you "use" any of the informations, you do it on your own risk.
Once again make sure you know what you are doing.
Of course the thread is about how i build amps. There are surely other ways (better or worse) out there so this of course isn't absolute.
Ok since we are through this, i think it's time to start
