I would highly recommend doing a 5F1 tweed Champ as a first build.
The Deluxe is a bit more involved. I wouldn't recommend it as a first time
project.
Build it into a head, or buy a whole kit with instructions (Weber, and others are good),
and get your feet wet first. If it doesn't fit your needs, then sell it and move on.
I've had spotty experience going into this kind of work, in the past, so I know my safety precautions very well. An Ampeg V4 pushing 600 volts will kill you, and not ask any questions!
